See Me In Color

300 children got the opportunity to express self-identity and creativity through art. Thanks to 70 generous donors who contributed $2400, kindergarten students at three Memphis-area elementary schools received a 24-pack of Crayola Colors of the World, along with a 100-page STEM Coloring and Activity Book by J.D. Wright. Each family also received an invitation to register for an online 30-minute art activity. The selected schools were:

1. Dunbar Elementary
2. Kipp Collegiate Elementary
3. Belle Forest Elementary

The goal of the “SeeMe in Color” project was for children to develop an understanding and appreciate diverse skin tones and fully represent themselves and the world around them, through creativity, imagination, and self-expression.

Mardi Gras

The vibe was festive, and of course, gumbo and king cake was served! Our authentic Louisiana Mardi Gras celebration benefited Sister Supply, an organization that provides feminine hygiene products for women and girls who can’t afford them. Without these essential supplies, women and girls miss work or school. Sister Supply provides supplies for over 50 schools, shelters, and organizations in the Mid-South.
